Semiotics

Semiotics, basically, referes to Semiology, which it is some times referred too (as well as Semiotic Studies). It is defined as a study of signs and symbols and is mainly seperated into three different branches which are semantics (which simply define the relationship between the signs and also the things that they refer too), syntactics (relates to the relationship between the signs and also the things that they refer too) and Pragmatics(which refers to the relationship between the signs and also the effects on people who use them).
